Panel Discussion: Canada’s role in promoting Women, Peace and Security

It is our great pleasure to invite you to our panel discussion and debate in celebration of Canada Day 2019 co-organised by the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, the Embassy of Canada to Austria and Women in International Security Austria on

“Strong Women, Strong World – Canada’s role in promoting Women, Peace and Security”
with
Royal Canadian Mounted Police Officer Ms. Rhonda Hislop
and
Political Counsellor at the Embassy of Canada to Austria Ms. Kelly Anderson!

Earlier this month Canada appointed its first-ever Ambassador for women, peace and security. What does this mean for a country that has also proclaimed a feminist foreign policy? Join us for a debate on women’s participation in security efforts and the resolution of conflict, as well as Canada’s role in working towards sustainable peace.
